Saying Goodby to Lee McBride

(Dec 5, 2020)The Golden Lions Club held a goodby drive-by for our longest serving (64 years) Lion Lee McBride. Lee and his wife Twila are moving to Buckeye AZ. Golden Lion President Greg said "Thanks to those that showed up for Lion Lee McBride's drive-by farewell meeting. Lee was totally surprised and visibly moved when the Fire Truck came down his street. He and Twila enjoyed the good wishes immensely. His family that was there said how much they appreciated the gesture." Lee and Twila, you will be missed. View additional pictures here.

Golden Lions Beer and Cheese Tasting Event

Beer and Cheese Tasting The Golden Lions are proud to announce a fundraiser event at Barrels and Bottles on South Golden Road.

We are doing a Beer and Cheese tasting event to raise money to put into our community betterment fund.

The community betterment fund is used to put on the 4th of July event in Golden, provide 3 scholarships to Golden High School students, support BgoldN (a charity with a mission to end hunger), Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank that does over 2000 eye transplants each year, post office food drive, supports the food bank at Christian Action Guild, Provides trees to elementary kids for Arbor day, collects eyeglasses for the less fortunate, built Lions Park, built the ball fields and most of the Gazebos in Golden to name a few of the things we do annually.
